A day out in France

A day trip to France superbly organised by Ian Burchell saw 22 bikes some with pillions venture into France and down the coast road to Boulogne where we stopped for coffee and croissants. Then it was on to Saint Omer for lunch, riding on spectacular roads and through lovely deserted villages and countryside all in perfect weather.

At the April club night we had the pleasure of having not one but two doctors in the house. Dr Pat Garrod was our guest speaker and spoke about his two -up overland adventures covering over 100,000 miles, afterwards he and his wife signed copies of their book Bearback.
